Jennifer Leister, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor, has a private practice in Dallas where she specializes in children, adolescents, and family therapy. She is a trained collaborative professional, parent coordinator, parent facilitator, and reunification therapy expert. She has been in the field since 1998 when her career began as an Investigator for Dallas County Child Protective Services. Once she completed her Master’s Degree she spent time seeing clients at the Collin County Children’s Advocacy Center where she was trained in Play Therapy. She has also facilitated chemical dependency treatment in outpatient services for a few years before starting her private practice in 2005. In 2014 Mrs. Leister published two children’s books, “Meet Max, A Basset Hounds Perspective to Divorce” and “Max Meets Emma, a Basset Hound’s Perspective to Blended Families” to help families talk with their children during these times of change.
